John and I were working together in a plan to expand Humana's Medicare market to Cleveland and Milwaukee. Several trips together found John looking for humor in the inane world of insurance schemes. Each time we travelled it was necessary to rent a car. Much to John's surprise I had already been enrolled in National Car Rental's Elite program. John, naturally, used this to razze me about his tagging along as a "non-elite" rider. We kept this up even many years after I left Humana. John loved using his wit and oh how I miss his dry sense of humor and terrific wit. He was and always will be the true "renissance Man".
