I can not begin to tell you how incredibly sorry I am Jamie. I really don't even know what to say....I'm at such a loss here. I still can not believe this has happened. As you can imagine, we are all just sick about this and are grieving for our loss as well as yours here. John was a central part of our department, not because of the work he did, which was so important, but because of the person he was. I, for one, am so very sad. You know how long I've known John. I can't even imagine what you must be going through. I haven't wanted to call you because I didn't want to bother you but at some point, when you feel up to it, please give me a call. My numbers are: H 893.2760 W 580.2141 C 802.5189 Please let me know how I can help you. I will tell you that I have already gotten HR and IT to give me access to John's Lotus Notes email. I don't know if John had set you up for access to view it but I can now view his mail. I can not write, delete or do anything else with it but I can see it so if there is anything that impacts you, I can let you know. Let me know if you have access to his lotus notes or if I need to forward information to you he may have. For example, he has an email from Charles Schwab that you may not have and would like to get. I have also sent a note to Associate Shared Services forwarding your recent email asking for guidance related to John. Since your note indicated they are unlikely to issue a death certificate until they find him, I would like to plan to submit a timesheet for him using his vacation time until he is officially declared. At least that way, you would still be receiving additional income, assuming that is legal and HR approves it. Please know you, Emily, Adam, Carrie and Ellie are in my thoughts and prayer.
